Mom of the Year?!

nicolemarty01bCheck out this candidate of Mom of the Year, Nicole Marty. The 25-year-old Long Island woman was allegedly high on drugs Sunday night when she crashed her car into a utility pole at about 10:30 PM. The accident injured Marty's nine-year-old daughter. Marty, pictured in the below Suffolk County Police Department mug shot, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. Additionally (and not surprisingly), the affable Marty also racked up a harassment rap after she injured a cop who had the unenviable task of guarding her at a Bay Shore hospital.

4/20 Day at UC Santa Cruz

There was a memo sent to parents of UC Santa Cruz students regarding the 4/20 celebrations on the UC Santa Cruz campus. Last year on April 20, diagnosis thousands of students gathered on campus and smoked marijuana as part of an annual tradition. The university is taking steps to increase safety of the students. This concern has grown due to the fact that over the past four years the event here at UCSC has grown in numbers, unhealthy with many of the participants being visitors and not actual students of UC Santa Cruz. To ensure safety, additional measures will be taken to limit access to campus for non-students. Likewise, for a limited time bus transportation will be curtailed, access to campus will be limited and illegally parked cars will be towed.

Talk about a contact high. Check out 4/20 day at UC Santa Cruz last year.
It looks like a forest fire.
