Lamont's Music Notes For March 30th

Here are Lamont's Music Notes for March 30th.

March 30th, 1975 - Peter Frampton

On March 30,1975 Peter Frampton released his fourth album, the self titled “Peter Frampton”.
This album reached gold status in terms of sales  by the RIAA September 13,1976. It also reached number 32 on the Billboard charts, but this album’s major significance rests in the fact that it’s the tour in support of this record that resulted in the recording of “Frampton Comes Alive”.

Now, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again ...I’m a freakin’ sucker for any song with a TALK BOX. I remember seeing Frampton on the “Midnight Special” and saying to my brother “WTF is he playing and doing with that tube in his mouth, making his guitar sound so cool !??!!??”

Here’s Peter Frampton on the Midnight Special in 1975 performing “Show Me The Way”

Music News - March 29th, 1975 - Led Zeppelin

Here’s why I consider Led Zeppelin one of the greatest rock bands of ALL-TIME.
On this date in 1975, all six Led Zeppelin studio albums were on the Billboard 200 album chart at the same time.

Get this line up! Their most recent release at the time "Physical Graffiti," was at #1.
Following were Led Zeppelin IV at #83; Houses of the Holy at #92;
Led Zeppelin II at #104; Led Zeppelin at #116;
and Led Zeppelin III at #124.

Here’s a track from Physical Graffiti, “Kashmir” performed live in concert.
